Superb location in the old medieval town, rooms large and we'll equipped, food in restaurant the best we've had in the last two weeks. Rooms large and modernised and retain original features, bathroom included jacuzzi. Service first class from Jose and his team, highly recommended. One of our party was ill, and Jose took us to the local hospital to make sure he was looked after, he was exceptional, I cannot speak highly enough of all of the staff at the hotel... José' wife Patri in the bar, his mother the chef and Aurori front of house. Nothing too much trouble, rooms, food and hospitality first class. We will be back!

Posada Real la Carteria was a delightful surprise. We needed a place to stay on our way from Pontevedra to Madrid and kind of randomly chose the Posada. What a lovely place in a delightful town! The room was charming, comfortable, and stylish, with exposed stone walls and beams. The bathroom was tiny but everything worked well. After exploring the town's castle and walking the ancient walls, we had a fantastic dinner in the restaurant down in the cave. Breakfast--scrambled eggs--was perfect. We definitely recommend this little hotel.

This is a lovely hotel - it's superbly located, and the facilities, views and everything about it is great. We had the suite at the front of the hotel and had a lovely view from our terrace of the town. We had an excellent meal in the evening in the gorgeous restaurant, and the breakfast the following morning was lovely too. The view from the terrace over the river is gorgeous. You can even shelter under the terraces during the rain!

We had breakfast on one occasion. It was ample. The restaurant is separate from the hotel so you always have to pay.. It was fresha and to order. the food in the restaurant is very good. The actuakl hotel is a beautiful building with lots of character; the rooms are lovely although I would loft room as it is quite low.

The hotel is situated a few hundred metres from the plaza mayor and some excellent restaurants. The views were spectacular from our room. A good choice on the breakfast menu . Staff were very friendly and were very helpful
